Wharerata’s Annual Village Wine Trader’s Dinner

Following the successful Village Wine Trader Dinner last winter, we decided to make it an annual affair.

Last week Duncan Win of the Village Wine Trader treated our sixty guests to an escape from our New Zealand winter and transported everyone to a European summer’s night.

Sampling some of Duncan’s favourite wines including a French sparkling Rose as the aperitif, a Cote du Rhone, an Italian Monastrell (Mourvedre), a Chianti and to finish an Italian Moscato. These were  paired with a carefully selected menu with a spring like feel by our head chef, Taka Moriyama.

Always a highlight on our event calendar, thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you enjoyed the evening. Our next Wine Dinner will be hosted by Haha Winery on Thursday 12th of October; save the date and if you’re not signed up to our email newsletter, please feel free to email us on wharerata@masssey.ac.nz
